Invisible braces explained

For straight teeth and a beautiful smile, you are no longer subjected to the traditional unattractive braces that we know or an outer brace. Invisible braces enhance self-confidence and offer an aesthetic and barely visible alternative to traditional braces.

Although invisible braces are not suitable for certain cases, such as misalignment or a complex overbite problem (these are better addressed by traditional orthodontics), they can be used to treat the following conditions:

  • Overbite;
  • Teeth that are widely spaced;
  • Skewed teeth.

Invisible braces are designed for (young) adults and are not recommended for children with milk teeth. Children and younger teenagers facing orthodontic problems benefit most from traditional braces on the front of the teeth. In consultation with the dentist, it will be determined whether your teeth can benefit from invisible braces. Bear in mind that braces should be worn for up to 22 hours a day and you should always carry them with you, including the storage box.

Cost of transparent braces

 The cost of invisible braces is about the same as traditional orthodontic treatments, ranging from € 2,500 to € 7,000. The cost of your specific brace is determined by factors such as the type and duration of treatment, the location, your dental insurance and any other repair work required before or during the treatment. Funding may be available via your dental insurance. Please consult your dental insurer or contact us to determine what orthodontic benefits you may be eligible for.
